Is anyone out there a dinner etiquette expert?

I am having a couple over for dinner soon and need some advice. We have a small house with only a bar, no dining room table. As this is the case, I am serving a more casual meal. I am serving a delicious Taco Soup (which is always a hit) with a salad and tortillas for dipping and cheese, sour cream, etc. In this case, how would I do place settings? Since it's a bar and casual, I know I do not want anything formal, but I would still like it to be nice. And what should I use for the tortilla chips(at their place setting)? A small bread plate maybe? Also, any other tips(desserts, etc) for making this a nice affair would be appreciated!

As for desert? Something cooling! Serve berries in cantaloupe halves with some sparkling wine poured over and a nice dollop of whipped cream on top.
