Flexsteel is a good proxy for long-term durability. I have not used their products myself same, but have found in my line of work (Commercial Interior Design). They are well made and have decent security. I can not speak for the quality of one's own skin as I found most of the hides at retail to be over corrected and processed to be more like vinyl than leather. If you can find, be in the look out in full flower (not to be confused with top grain) leather.
